FT. MYERS, Fla. (Oct. 31, 2022)—SWFL Children’s Charities, Inc. announces the launch of the newly designed website at swflwinefest.org and swflchildrencharities.org. Rivet Brands and TCMC Interactive completed the design and upgrades.

Additionally, The Southwest Florida Children’s Charities announced changes to its annual fundraiser, SWFL Wine & Food Festival for 2023. Because of Hurricane Ian, the SWFL Food & Wine Festival will postpone its two-day festival to a date yet to be determined.

To continue its mission to enhance pediatric healthcare in our region, SWFL Children’s Charities, Inc. has started the SWFL Cares Relief Fund to support medical employees directly impacted by Hurricane Ian. Donations are being accepted at text.gives/swfl or text ‘swfl’ to 855-735-2437. All funds raised will go directly to medical professionals right here in Southwest Florida who have felt the devastating effects of Hurricane Ian. The goal of this fund is to get the donations into the hands of storm victims as soon as possible to help them rebuild their lives.

Hurricane Ian hit Southwest Florida on Sept. 28, 2022, as nearly a category 5 storm. It severely affected the areas of Collier and Lee Counties, especially those that were closest to the coast. The storm brought in flooding and mass destruction to many buildings and homes, including the evacuation of the region’s only children’s hospital, leaving those on the Gulf Coast in desperate need. Southwest Florida Children’s Charities, Inc. is dedicated to support the region’s growing healthcare system and to help those who provide that care to rebuild.
