Reynolds Family Winery

Steve Reynolds, owner and winemaker of Reynolds Family Winery, has followed a unique and inspiring path to become a celebrated producer of small-batch, limited-production Bordeaux-style wines from Napa Valley’s finest appellations. Born in Stillwater, Oklahoma, Steve spent much of his childhood in Munich, Germany, where his father, Tom Reynolds, instilled a love of wine through their small family vineyard and garage winemaking experiments. These early experiences ignited Steve’s passion for crafting wine, which would later become his life’s calling. After studying Marine Biology and chemistry at the University of Washington and working as a deep-sea diver in Alaska, Steve pivoted to dentistry, earning a degree from the University of the Pacific. While building his dental practice in Stockton, California, Steve and his wife, Suzie, decided to relocate to Napa Valley in 1995 to raise their family. They purchased a run-down 16-acre chicken farm along the Silverado Trail and transformed it into the thriving estate winery that Reynolds Family Winery is today. In 1999, Steve left dentistry to dedicate himself fully to winemaking, channeling his scientific background and creative passion into producing exceptional wines. With a focus on quality over quantity, Reynolds Family Winery crafts Bordeaux-style blends and varietals that showcase the distinct character of Napa Valley’s diverse terroirs. From the estate vineyard south of Stags Leap to select parcels across the valley, Steve’s wines are celebrated for their elegance, depth, and precision. As a true family-owned and operated winery, Reynolds Family Winery continues to embody Steve’s vision of creating handcrafted wines to share with family, friends, and wine lovers around the world.
