Goosecross Cellars
We (Dave Ficeli and Christi Coors Ficeli) met in Modesto, California, over our shared love of wine. After a few visits to the Napa Valley, and a fateful night at the Bistro Jeanty bar over a bottle of unforgettable Grenache, we hatched a plan to move to Napa together and start our own family wine project. We made our move in 2003 and relocated, building a new home together in Napa Valley. Ten years later, we were finally able to focus in earnest on creating our family wine legacy. We dreamed up a new wine brand called C. Elizabeth (after the many strong Elizabeths on Christi’s side of the family), our personal passion project. Around the same time, we discovered the Goosecross property was for sale. From the moment we set eyes on the Goosecross property, we knew it was our place. The unbeatable views stopped us in our tracks, but the connection we felt to the land and its legacy – both the past and the future – has kept us here.
