SWFL Children’s Charities, Inc. has named Jean-Charles Boisset of The Boisset Collection as the Honored Signature Vintner of the 2021 Southwest Florida Wine & Food Fest.
Boisset Collection is a family-owned collection of historic and unique properties bound together by a common cause: authentic, terroir-driven wines and luxury goods in harmony with their history, their future and the land and people essential to their existence. With more than twenty-five historical and prestigious wineries and tasting salons in the world’s preeminent terroirs, including the Côte d’Or, Beaujolais, Rhône Valley, California’s Russian River Valley and the Napa Valley, each house retains its unique history, identity and style, and all are united in the pursuit of fine wines expressive of their terroir.
Boisset Collection has also branched out beyond wine to the gourmet food realm as well as offers luxury goods including jewelry, perfume and home accessories of its own design and from partnerships with historic companies such as Baccarat, Lalique, Christofle and Bernardaud.
“What a privilege to be included in this important event and even more so, as a part of the amazing Southwest Florida community. We hope to bring greater awareness, excitement and ultimately the much-needed funds to the SWFL Children’s Charities,” said Jean-Charles Boisset.
“We are thrilled to have the great Jean-Charles Boissett join this year’s Southwest Florida Wine & Food Fest as Honored Signature Vintner and look forward to celebrating The Boisset Collection’s unique offerings and energy that Jean-Charles brings as we come together to make a difference in the lives of children throughout Southwest Florida,” said Sandy Stilwell Youngquist, SWFL Children’s Charities Board President and trustee.
Celebrating its 13th year, the 2021 Southwest Florida Wine & Food Fest will take place on Saturday, April 24 and will feature Chef Vintner Dinners creatively hosted in private luxury venues across the region showcasing the talents of local chefs and wines from renowned vintners. This year, the traditional live auction will go virtual offering opportunities to bid on one-of-a-kind wine, cuisine and travel experiences plus the important virtual paddle raise to help fund the eye institute. Guests will have the option to join in person at our live, intimate Chef Vintner Dinners at luxury venues throughout the region or participate safely from home while engaging in the Wine Fest @Home experience by ordering a prepared four-course meal and specially paired wines, joining us for the virtual event on the same evening. As always, the Southwest Florida Wine & Food Fest will feature a night of artful cuisine created by celebrated chefs and expert wine pairings from selected vintner partners, while supporting SWFL Children’s Charities, Inc.’s mission to save children’s lives and advance pediatric health care across the region.
Funds raised at the event’s Auction will benefit SWFL Children’s Charities, Inc.’s efforts to build the new SWFL Children’s Charities Eye Institute of Golisano Children’s Hospital. This new state-of-the-art facility will provide expanded Ophthalmology services to children across the region. The 2021 Southwest Florida Wine & Food Fest’s story book inspired theme, Out of the Darkness Into the Light, is touching given our current times and speaks to the struggles of children facing vision challenges and blindness.
