Chef Madsen has worked at luxury resorts in the United States, fine European hotels, and destinations worldwide. Michael has been the Executive Chef for the past twelve years at outstanding private Clubs, including Bay Colony Beach Club, Colliers Reserve Golf Club, and most recently at Miramar Lakes Country Club. Michael is well respected in the area by his fellow Chefs for being an outstanding team builder and mentor to many Chefs in the area.

Chef Madsen has been featured on The Travel Channel’s “Great Chefs of the World.” He was elected “Culinarian of the Year” by professional chefs of the American Culinary Federation. He attended the Culinary Institute of America and graduated from the Hotel and Restaurant Management School of Copenhagen, Denmark. The New York Times cited Madsen for “Best Food” at the 1993 Presidential Inauguration when he was the owner of a fine catering company serving clients in Washington, D.C., including the U.S. Department of State, the Smithsonian Institution, CBS, PBS, foreign embassies, and many prominent Washington hostesses.

Mr. Madsen also held the prestigious position of Executive Chef at the Royal Danish Embassy, responsible for all Danish official state functions in the U.S. Capital. During his tenure in Washington, Madsen wrote a chapter about Denmark for the book Great Embassies of Washington, D.C.
