Chef Todd Johnson
Chef Todd Johnson has deep culinary roots in Lee County, Florida. In 1997 he opened Bistro 41 in the Bell Tower Shop in Fort Myers as executive chef and partner. Thanks to Chef Johnson’s passion, drive and the commitment of his business partners, Jeff Gately and Michael Hernandez, Bistro 41 quickly became a huge success. Chef Johnson has a tremendous drive to create new dishes, work with the freshest ingredients and mentor the chefs under him, many of whom have moved on to run their own restaurants and kitchens. In addition to Bistro 41, in the last 18 years he has opened five other restaurants as executive chef/partner which include Aqua Grill, Mia’s Hyde Park, Rumrunners, The Joint and Run A Grounds.
Chef Johnson is involved with numerous local charities in Lee and Collier counties, including Southwest Florida Wine & Food Fest, which is in the top five food and wine fundraisers in the nation. He founded “The Celebrity Chef’s Dinner” charity at Rumrunners, which is in its 11th year, raising over a million dollars for the Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida/Barbara’s Friends. Among his many accolades: he has been in numerous newspaper articles, local magazines and local television; led VIP dinners in Sonoma, California for Maurison Winery; and has had the privilege of working with many celebrity chefs.
